Austin Litigation Boutique Becomes Ewell, Brown, Blanke & Knight LLP with Addition of Prominent Trial and Appellate Lawyer Joseph R. Knight

January 4, 2016

Ewell, Brown & Blanke LLP is pleased to announce that Joseph R. Knight has joined the firm as a partner and the firm has changed its name to Ewell, Brown, Blanke & Knight LLP. Formerly the head of Baker Botts LLP's Austin litigation department and the partner in charge of its Austin office, Knight will continue to focus his practice on commercial litigation, government investigations, and appeals.

"Joe will be a tremendous addition to the firm," said Gary Ewell. "He is a highly skilled trial lawyer and appellate advocate with a strong reputation in Texas and nationally."

"Joe is a special lawyer and person, and we are delighted to welcome him to the firm,” said David Brown. “Joe possesses extraordinary credentials and deep experience in complex litigation. His appellate experience will also complement and strengthen our regulatory and enforcement practice areas."

"Joe maintains one of the most impressive commercial litigation practices of any trial lawyer in the Southwest," said David Blanke. "He is also a superb negotiator and an authoritative presence at the Attorney General's office."

"I am so fired up to join this firm," said Knight. "I have no doubt that the boutique model offers the best value in litigation representation, and EBBK is unique among boutiques. On most any high-stakes dispute, we can offer experienced lead counsel with big-firm credentials at a fraction of the big-firm price. This is going to be fun."
